Merry Christmas world! This is my first blog entry ever, and since we are in the holiday season, I will share my thoughts on what Christmas means to me.

I really enjoy the spirit of the holiday season. Most would agree that there is an energy of love, giving, and connection that permeates the air, as well as an excitement for the coming new year as people look forward to new opportunities and/or new beginnings. Most people who celebrate the season honor the story of The Nativity and reflect upon/celebrate the humble birth of Jesus. For me, the story is a reminder of a deep truth.

To summarize the story of The Nativity:

(a) the virgin Mary (b) giving birth to (c) Jesus the Christ, in (d) a manger.

If you take biblical accounts as the Word of God, then it is truth. If it is indeed (Divine) truth, then it must also be a universal truth. If it is a universal truth, then the Nativity story is more than just an accurate historical account, but must also reflect a universal truth about man.

On the other hand, one may see the story as only a myth. If that’s the case, then you could arrive at the same conclusion, for what is a myth but a story born from the collective unconscious mind reflecting a truth buried deep within the psyche of man? In other words, it also reflects a universal truth.

Either way you look at it, what does this event say about man? Well, if we look deeper at the components of the story from a more universal perspective, we get:

(a) the pure (b) will give birth to (c) Christ consciousness in (d) their body.
(a) the virgin Mary (b) giving birth to (c) Jesus the Christ, in (d) a manger.

What does that mean in more practical terms? How does that idea relate to the individual? I would say that the story reveals the following universal truth: (a) those who have purified their thoughts and emotions (b) can bring into this world (c) unconditional love and brotherhood (d) while here on earth. I see The Nativity as a story that reflects our purpose here on earth: to bring love into the world. The key to fulfilling this task lies in the first part of the story: we must purify, or actively transform, our negative thoughts and emotions. It is this critical step that will let our true self radiate, allowing us to be truly loving individuals and co-creators of a world where genuine brotherhood is experienced.

This idea is what drives my passion in life: assisting others in actively transforming their negative thoughts and emotions so that they can let their true essence shine forth, allowing them to reach their potential as successful and loving beings.

Point to ponder: In the coming year, I encourage you rid yourself of the negativity and mental blocks that prevent you from truly experiencing and bringing forth love.
